Our Journey, Our Vision

Before we explain what we are doing, let us make it clear. Farokht is not changing or revolutionizing how Pakistanis shop - NOT AT ALL! It's just securing what we love with a platform that connects content, commerce, and technology. With shopping scattered across various platforms and app bans threatening access, Farokht brings all our beloved brands & content creators together in one safe and reliable space.

But yes, there is one thing that separates us from the rest. We are not here for product selling. Pakistan already has tons of amazing platforms doing that. We are here to work on brand digital identity creation with culture & storytelling. We are building this with Pakistan, so we need your support.

Farokht's story started in late 2024 when the team began working with small local brands under a "ScaleUp Your Startup" initiative. The goal was to help small businesses understand how to sell online and grow sustainably, especially for founders who still don't understand the basics.

But while working closely with founders, one thing became clear: most of them were burning nearly 40% of their revenue on paid ads and services just to get visibility. Competing on foreign platforms had become a money game, leaving smaller brands with almost no chance to grow.

Then came January 11th, 2025, when a petition in the Lahore High Court called for banning social media. Even though it didn't go through, it exposed a major risk. In Pakistan, bans and restrictions can happen overnight, and for many brands, social media is their only storefront for digital identity creation. It was a wake-up call.

Beyond that, fake brands, fake influencer promotions, and order fraud make headlines every other day since anyone can create an account and start selling with zero verification.

That's where the idea of Farokht came in to create a verified, content-driven, community-led commerce platform built for Pakistan. A place where brands can tell their story, shoppers can buy with trust, and local commerce can finally stand on its own ground.

Our motive is to actually reduce reliance of our brands on foreign apps, and reduce online shopping fraud and make next-gen shopping a reality for every Pakistani in the next two year.
